Suriyan, Srisaket Annihilate Indonesians

By REY DANSECO

Suriyan and Srisaket, veteran Thai fighters from Sor Rungvisai Stable of Bangkok, Thailand, were victorious against inexperience Indonesian opponents recently.

Suriyan (38-6-1, 17 KOs) needed one minute and 59 seconds to knockout Tony Arema (3-6-1, 0 KO) and win the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) bantamweight title on Friday at Kinpoo Seafood Restaurant in Samut Prakan, Thailand.

It was Suriyan’s comeback fight after losing WBC bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka (22-0-2) in October in Tokyo.

Srisaket (31-4-1, 28 KOs) stopped Jemmy Gobel at 2:17 mark of the second round for his fourth successive wins after losing his WBC super flyweight title to Carlos Cuadras in May in Mexico.
